Daniel W. Hamilton

Dan Hamilton practices in the areas of governmental affairs, workers compensation, personal injury, and generally civil litigation, condemnations, and employment. His practice and experience includes service as a Special Assistant Attorney General in a variety of areas.

Dan graduated from Appalachian State University, cum laude, before receiving his J.D. in 1989 from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, where he was Client Counseling Competition Champion. Upon graduating from law school, Dan served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Augusta Judicial Circuit. Before entering private practice in 1994, Dan tried more than 100 felony cases which resulted in criminal convictions.

Dan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Augusta Bar Association, having served on its Executive Committee, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Dan serves on the Board of Directors for the University Hospital Foundation and the Columbia County Greenspace Advisory Committee. He has coached various youth athletic teams.

Dan and his wife Beth live in Evans, Georgia and have two children: Thomas and Elizabeth. They are active members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
